Terms of Service

By creating an account, applying for membership, or otherwise using Matrimilan (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

These Terms form a legal contract between you and Matrimilan Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a company incorporated in India. We may update these Terms periodically; continued use after a change indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Matrimilan is a service for adults seeking marriage. To register, you must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into a marriage under applicable Indian law. We do not knowingly accept minors, and we will permanently delete any account found to belong to a minor.

You must apply with genuine matrimonial intent, and you must accurately represent your marital status — single, divorced, or widowed. Persons currently married, or those who misrepresent their status, are not eligible. We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate any account that does not meet these requirements.

Matrimilan is a selective service. We accept fewer than one in four applicants. Acceptance is not guaranteed and our decision is final, though we will endeavour to provide a brief reason for any refusal. Acceptance is at our sole discretion.

Every applicant is reviewed by our matching model and by a human reviewer before going live. Verification covers identity (via government ID), photographs (via reverse-image search and likeness matching), and stated background details (such as education, occupation, and city of residence).

If we discover that a member has provided false, misleading, or fabricated information at any point, we may revoke membership, refuse a refund, and — in serious cases — share information with law-enforcement authorities as permitted by law.

You retain ownership of all content you submit to Matrimilan, including your profile information, photographs, voice notes, and messages (collectively, “Member Content”). You grant Matrimilan a limited, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, display, and transmit your Member Content solely for the purpose of operating the Service — for example, showing your profile to matched members under your privacy controls.

We will not use your Member Content for advertising, will not sell it, and will not share it with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy. You may delete your Member Content at any time by deleting your account, after which we will remove it from active systems within thirty days, subject to backup-retention windows.

Matrimilan is built around granular privacy. You decide what is visible to whom, and you can change those settings at any time. Our default is private; nothing is visible to other members until you choose to make it so.

Matrimilan is currently free to use. There is no trial timer and no auto-charge. If we introduce paid plans in the future, the current fee, payment terms, and any applicable taxes will be shown clearly before you complete payment, and we will not auto-renew without your express, advance consent.

When paid plans launch, members will be entitled to a fair refund window — communicated in advance — if we fail to deliver core features of the Service. Existing members will receive notice of any pricing change before it takes effect.

Matrimilan exists to help genuine people find a partner. The following are strictly prohibited:

Violation of any of the above will result in immediate suspension and may result in permanent termination, with no refund.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we have reasonable grounds to believe you have violated these Terms, falsified information, or behaved in a way that puts other members at risk.

You may close your account at any time from your account settings. Closure will remove your profile from member-facing surfaces within twenty-four hours; full deletion follows in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Matrimilan is an introduction platform. We do not guarantee that any introduction will result in a match, an engagement, or a marriage. Decisions about whom to meet, whom to trust, and whom to marry are entirely yours.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you under these Terms is limited to the membership fee you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of opportunity or emotional distress.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Before initiating any formal proceeding, you agree to first contact us in writing to attempt a good-faith resolution.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, for material changes, will notify members by email at least fourteen days before the new Terms take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
